About Each One Teach One
Each One Teach One Incorporated (EOTO) is a not-for-profit organisation whose key focus is to ensure that exercise is affordable and accessible to everyone. This is achieved by using basketball as a vehicle to create a fun and social atmosphere that also promotes a life-long healthy approach to lifestyle for participants.
EOTO creates an environment that fosters teamwork and encourages leadership, which in turn assists with improving confidence and self-esteem. EOTO gives back to the the community by creating opportunities for regular participation in exercise, which has been proven to be vitally important for improved states of well-being, mental health and stress management. EOTO also provides the added benefit of social inclusion and creates the opportunity for new friendships to be formed and for support networks to be increased.
The key target market is women which is why EOTO designs programs and events to specifically combat the traditionally low rates of participation in sports, and low self-care rates, of women.
EOTO also links in with the lower socio economic community who may not necessarily be able to afford the typical fees of traditional sports programs, thereby making exercise accessible to everyone.
Furthermore, EOTO reaches out to the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Community (CALD), with over 60% of participants coming from a CALD background.
Lastly, EOTO also targets young females in order to provide encouragement and mentorship for ongoing participation in sports throughout their lifespan.
